jubilee macaw

The jubilee macaw is a 2nd generation macaw it is cross between the green winged macaw and the harlequin macaw.

The distribution it is a captive bred hybrid are rare to find.

The description is  the breeders of these youngsters call them Jubilee Macaws as they could find no other know common names assigned to this hybrid at the time.
Both parents of the Jubilee Macaw contribute to the striking colors of their offspring. Because the father's have the dominant gene, this will influence their final appearance. The father of these youngsters is the Harlequin Macaw. You can see a bit of a difference in the final coloration. Some of its characteristics influenced by the Green-winged Macaw are that it can be a large bird, with the head and beak shape more typical of the Green-winged. A green back with a bronze cast is from the influence of the harlequin Macaw.

The size and weight is it can go over 2 pounds and can get to 86 cm.

The care and breeding is they need a roomy cage to be on a pen, they need to be out for exteneded periods to prevent boredness and they need to eat all kinds of fruits vegetables and nuts also they eat other nutrition foods like human do.

The social behavior the jubilee typically takes on the natrual docile side of the greend winged macaw with some of the natual clownish personality of the harelequin macaw. Can be cranky at times and may even be a one person bird or only like men and female unless well socialized. To have have well rounded bird enjoys more than one person, make sure it is well socialized.










The breeding and reproduction is they don't breed but hybrids are breeding more common.
The potential problem is they are cranky at times
The availability is they are rare and expensive.
